For our fast-paced startup in Amsterdam, factors such as teamwork, passion and taking responsibility are key. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious Data Engineer for our extremely challenging data analysis projects.
Responsibilities:
Your job as a Senior Data Engineer is to realize a number of projects and innovation within our data analysis team. These include:
- Translating client requirements into functional designs for data systems and environments
- Devising, developing and achieving innovations in the area of data analytics and machine learning for large international clients
- Supporting the sales team in making commercial proposals for data analysis projects
- Guiding the technical aspects of a project with engineering and technical project team colleagues
- Managing and delivering OSI soft PI projects independently, sometimes at the client’s location
- Co-developing (innovative) technical solutions with colleagues and clients in the area of CCTV, IT network systems and machine learning for offshore installations

- You have the courage to achieve technical solutions which are the best for our clients and to include your colleagues in the process
- You work independently and in a structured way
- You know analytics products and platforms (OSI soft PI is a strong plus point). If you are not an expert, you are planning to become one
- Proven experience and knowledge of Python, SQL (NoSQL is a plus)
- Affinity with Angular, JavaScript and Cloud platforms
- You preferably have knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Data brick and/or Horton work
- An academic degree from a technical university
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Available fulltime
